Description: Set of Four Louis XV Walnut Chaises A La Reine, Stamped for Pierre Nogaret (1718-1771); Circa 1750; master from June 1745, Nogaret was the most celebrated chair maker working outside Paris for his generation. He served his apprenticeship in Paris and moved to Lyon in 1743. He established his workshop in the Rue Saint-Romain. These chairs have a distinctive outlines with sinuous molded frames, and crisp carvings - employing the same characteristics of his better pieces.
