Description: Collection of English Horse Brasses, Circa 1900. Check for current availability. These are part of our Museum Bee collection and are priced individually at $55 each. The majority of these date from 1860-1920, though there are some examples that are a bit later as well. These brass medallions were originally attached to leather martingales (the strap which passes from the girth between the forelegs and up over the chest) and on the top of the horse’s head where the ceremonial plume was worn.
